If you are hungry, you'd better go grab something to eat because this post is going to make your tummy growl.
Recently, we enjoyed the gift, from our daughter and son-in-law, of a night at the West Mountain Inn in Arlington, Vermont. (If you go to the website and see a lady and a man playing guitar, just WAIT. The inn's information will show up soon.)
So without much ado, here are photos to tell the sweet and yummy story:
Orange and cranberry juices:
Butter and ice water:
Request of just one pancake with Vermont maple syrup, of course:
Eggs scrambled with bacon and ham pieces, potatoes and wheat toast for hubs:
Eggs Benedict (swoon-worthy) over ham slices and English muffin halves and potatoes:
Close-up of those delicious potatoes:
This was a truly luscious breakfast, wouldn't you agree?
Just want to note that no compensation of any kind was given for this post on the inn nor do I have any connection with the inn except for being a happy former guest!
WHAT IS YOUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE BREAKFAST?
Susan,
ReplyDeleteWhat sweethearts to treat Mom and Dad to such a thoughtful, relaxing and very yummy weekend!
Happy Hugs!

A nice gift!
ReplyDeleteThe Eggs Benedict looks SO good. . .yes, that is my very favorite breakfast! But the other items sure run a good second!! Nice pictures!
Oh, my goodness!!! I have gained five pounds just looking at these wonderful pictures! I'm sure you had a marvelous time and enjoyed every morsel that passed through your mouths! As for my very favorite breakfast, that's a difficult choice. It would be a tie between IHOP's cheese blintzes with strawberries and the Parisienne pancakes at a local restaurant. If you even come to the Pigeon Forge, TN, area, you MUST go to the Log Cabin Pancake House! Those Parisienne pancakes are light, fluffy creations with fresh strawberries in abundance, dressed in whipped cream. YUMMMMM!!! I'm not a big coffee drinker, but with those, I will have three cups because of the richness! Now, it's bedtime, but I'm hungry...oh, well! :-)
ReplyDelete*sorry...that should say "if you EVER come to Pigeon Forge," not "if you even come..."
ReplyDeleteDrooling here! That is a yummy looking breakfast, XOXO
ReplyDeleteYou are eating well lately pretty much what you had would be my favourite breakfast.

ReplyDeleteOh, yum! What delicious offerings for breakfast! That was a very thoughtful and lovely anniversary gift!
ReplyDeleteBreakfast is probably my favorite meal of the day. I never skip it, and my preferences are simple - scrambled eggs with whole wheat toast.
My favorite breakfast is French crepes with syrup. They are so light and fluffy. I have had eggs benedict many times too and I love poached eggs so that would be my next favorite. I had a nice brunch on Mother's day of steak and poached eggs..just delicious. Your breakfast at the inn looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSusan you are killing me here. I am starving!!!!!!!!!!!! That food looked so good. My all time favorite is eggs Benedict! I don't suppose it is too good for you though. sandie♥

What an enjoyable breakfast...everything looked sooo appetizing. I too love eggs benedict. Only have them a couple of time a year; usually when we go to a place right on the ocean, The Pleasant View Inn. French toast is a good second. Especially with cottage cheese on the side. Delicious!
