Breakfast at the Red Lion Inn in Western Massachusetts

Breakfast is always a special treat even if it's only a simple bowl of cereal.

It's really special when served inside a lovely place like the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

Now we've written about this New England treasure many times.

One post can be found here.

Recently, a friend invited a group of us to have breakfast at the Red Lion Inn.

I ordered one egg Benedict with some maple sausage on the side.

With rich, strong coffee,  and perfect ambiance, it couldn't be beat.

Couldn't help snapping photos of the lions and gorgeous pink lilies out in front of the inn.

HAVE YOU EVER STAYED AT AN INN? IF YES, WHERE AND HOW WAS IT?

  8. The Red Lion Inn is a favorite of mine for lunch or dinner, but I don't think I have ever eaten breakfast there. I'm sure it was delicious. The inn itself is so well taken care of and the pink lilies are quite beautiful. I wonder, did they have a fragrance?

We do stay at the Beach Tree Inn, in Boston, when we visit our younger son; It was built around 1860 and has quite a Victorian style. The baked goods and the breakfasts are delightful and delicious. Always look forward to staying there.
