Mirror, Improvised Mirror, on the Wall
Looking around our living room the other day, it made to smile to think that almost everything in sight had been found in a thrift store or at a yard or estate sale.
One would never know it, though, because hubs and I are a good team. I scrub and make things shine while he does mechanical thingamajigs to make things work.
A beautiful gold-framed mirror above the fireplace has been on a wish list for years but there have always been many more priorities.
Consequently, I made-do with the old-fashioned dresser mirror, found at a yard sale.
It's not elegant but it's grown on me and now I kind of like it.
The romantic mirror reflected in it came from an estate sale. Once, I had cut out a magazine page with a replica and placed it in a "wish" scrapbook.
Then, when the old cracked cranberry glass overhead lamp with the dangling baubles was found at the estate sale, the wish came true.
Today we are joining Home and Garden Thursday at Kathy's blog, A Delightsome Life.
