Dollhouse Bakery/Candy Shop Update

Hello Sweet Blog Peeps.

Today I'm going to show you progress being made on the  dollhouse "Sweetheart Bakery"  and nearby candy store.

My plan is to have both of those shops downstairs and a bookstore and thrift shop upstairs.

The book store, however, might not make it since it takes me about two and a half hours to make one book! Yikes.

This could be a life-long process. ha!

 The bakery is coming along.

The brightly colored confections in the back are actually erasers!  Can you imagine?

The many confections are made out of Sculpy.

Have loved working on the Sweetheart Bakery.

It's what I consider my "joy" time!

I still would like to find a fancy bracket from which a sign saying "Sweetheart Bakery"  could be hung.

Will have to keep my eyes open for that one!

The candy store is progressing although the arched rack to the right still has to be filled up!

Made the boxes for the fudge and candy out of blank index cards.

The "jars" of candy are actually nail art from a dollar store!

Aren't the button candies adorable?

Hope you enjoy this progress report!

WHAT IS YOUR ABSOLUTE MOST FUN HOBBY?

My goodness - such intracut work!! Amazing!!
You asked about the gold fish in your water fountain - I bought four, 12 cent feeder goldfish. Mine is a fairly large bowl. About 10" deep in the middle. It's great - they eat all the mosquito eggs and larvie. And I also feed them fish food every morning. You maya want to try 2 and see how they work.
Again - love your Candy and cake shop!! So much time!!

You must have a lot of patience...this looks to be exacting work. I love the hearts on the stairs!

Thanks for comments on the Southwest pages. I see lots of readers counted but almost no comments. I have been sick so pages less than stellar I know, but.... Again, thanks for visiting. Have yourself a good week ahead!

Very good work so far! The main thing is you are enjoying yourself.

I have a variety of hobbies but I think reading is my favourite one. In terms of crafting hobbies, I think I enjoy crochet best.

Have a wonderful week.

I love your beautiful bakery. So bright and cheerful. You need to get some vanilla smell or cinnamon so it smells like a real bakery! sandie

Hi Susan, THANK YOU for my welcome back! I love your progress and LOVE what you're doing. You are inspiring me big time. I have 3 projects in progress...a peddler doll (beginning stages of thought), a quilt and sewing shoppe and a post office. The PO really just needs to be put together. I have been collecting things for years. Need it for Feb for my Annabelle doll and Sparrow Post. It's a Tasha Tudor thing, of course.
Love ya lots,
Linda
