Autumn's Awesome Scenes

The beauty of autumn fills our hearts with bittersweet longing.

We know the frigid, frozen days of winter are creeping closer but for today, I choose to focus on autumn.

Its loveliness all around us is so intense, so all-encompassing and so soothing to the heart and soul.

There are many of these brilliantly red bushes which, I think, are appropriately called "Burning  Bush."

Any gardeners out there who can verify this?

Anyway, hope each of you has reason to smile at something today in sweet autumn.

Go out, look up at the trees and skies and breathe in the cool, fresh air.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SEASON AND WHY?

  1. Well where I live it was 85 and sunny and hot so no autumn here..My favorite season is when the temps are in the 70's all year round. I still vote for where I live as far as climate goes..it's terrific! Southern California YaY

  3. Autumn here in Michigan is glorious. I would love it all year round. I also love winter - believe it or not - just not a hot weather person. Having said that, I do enjoy the change of seasons. That first breath of Spring after a hard winter is wonderful - August - not so much.

  5. I'm an autumn girl. The first chill in the air is invigorating for those of us from the South. The magnificent colors of the season, the promise of a coming fire in the fireplace. So many reasons to love autumn.

  6. Awesome Autumn, that's what I say. It is invigorating and a time for introspection too. This October has been so warm and sunny and we are really enjoying it. Had lunch out on the picnic table in the sun surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colors. There was a slight breeze from time to time and the leaves were swirling down and around; very magical.

I would have to say Autumn is my favorite season, but the change of seasons and experiencing the charms each has to offer is a gift.

  7. I love your pictures of fall - that's my favorite season - to me it means the end of one year - then you get a brand new year to try to improve things. Start over again.
