The Art of Ken Musselman


It never ceases to amaze how many talented people there are in the world, particularly in the realm of art.


At a recent outdoor fundraising event at Arrowhead, in Western Massachusetts, I was privileged to meet Ken Musselman.

Arrowhead is the former home of the New England author Herman Melville.

Ken is an immensely talented artist with a friendly and kind personality.

 (Here is the artist who created all the paintings in this post----Ken Musselman.)

Originally from Ohio, he now resides in East Canaan, Connecticut.
He has been painting virtually all of his life.

 (Unfortunately, the round circles are dust spots that were inside my camera, which has since been sent away for repair. They do not appear on the painting.)

Ken graciously gave me permission to show his work on this blog and for that I am extremely grateful. 

 It's always great sharing art that I love with fellow bloggers.

Ken is master when he has a paintbrush in his hand.


Whether his paintings are depicting a  container of  fresh blueberries and a nearby bottle of cream,  a scene at a country fair or flowering plants against a white picket fence, they are detailed and meticulously done.


Several even have a touch of humor and whimsey.

    Hello from Spain: I like Ken Musselman creations .. The painting of the truck with flowers is one of my favorite works. The bike is fabulous. All works have their charm. Keep in touch

    Susan, I absolutely LOVE those paintings. They really suit 'my style'He is very talented, and like you, I have often marveled at the unlimited talents in artwork....

    PS. I know a Ken Musselman, I wonder if he knows this artist,,??

    Hi Susan! How fun to meet the artist who painted all these! I bet he was tickled that you could appreciate them, and wanted to introduce him to all of us.

    I love the old barn painting. I like barns...even though I grew up in very far away from rural America. Maybe that's why?

    I thought all the paintings were wonderful; how great to be able to capture such scenes by painting.

    I especially liked the winter pictures; I am always drawn to winter scenes for some reason. The bicycle was appealing also.

    Must have been fun to meet the artist and see his art.

    I like the first one - the chickens - and for some reason the bike. Some people have so much talent don't they? Do you paint? sandie
