Treasure Life's Little Things

You know, the older I get, the more I appreciate the smallest things of beauty in life.

Each day holds so many treasured small events and special moments.

If we blink an eye, we might miss them.

So we have to be on-the-lookout for them, so to speak.

Hyacinths are among my favorite fragrant flowers.

Last year when a few came home from the supermarket, hubs saved the bulbs.

As spring makes its debut at a turtle's pace, any sign of greenery is a call for elation.

The other day, I went into the backyard and, lo and behold, there were a couple of blooming hyacinths in the little round area around a young tree!

I picked a couple of blossoms and put them into a cobalt blue bottle-turned-vase!

The late afternoon sun poured through the makeshift bouquet and it was just a lovely sight and fragrant, too!

Instant perfection!

  7. my first thought, when i opened your blog? "i can almost smell them!!! :-)"

oh and how you captured sunlight... practically glowing on the table cloth... and the gorgeous patterns, which sunlight makes, flowing through the blue glass... in the glass... and on the table cloth behind it...

then the composition of soft pinks, blues, cream and white... in the last picture.

gracious but this is a magnificent example of how we can "do art," with our camera, right around our own home.

and speaking of home... oh please, please please, give more peeks into your home!!!!!!! please! my appetite is piqued now. please more!!!!!!

  9. Beautiful color combination and a magical beam of sunshine to illuminate it all! You captured it so well.

Taking my little grandaugther for a walk around my son's yard yesterday(between raindrops and with our rain hats on)what did we see among the perky yellow daffodils? A patch of "blue sky fallen to the ground"! None other than Glory of the Snow. What a color combination that was. Grandaughter and I just stared and then she waved both hands! Love and beauty and goodness captured for a moment of true bliss on earth....
