Have you ever thought of how many songs have been written about the moon?
"Moon River" from Breakfast at Tiffany's was one of my favorites.
Do you remember hearing Kate Smith sing "When the Moon Comes Over the Mountain?" (Oh boy, that's going wayyyyyy back.)
How about "Fly Me to the Moon?"
"By the Light of the Silvery Moon" is always a popular one with an older crowd.
Then there's "Blue Moon" and "It's Only a Paper Moon."
There are a lot more, too.
Well last night, coming home from a family birthday party, the moon was beautiful.
The second one was dark so I pressed "Adjust" and it came out kind of like a painting.
Hope you get to spend a couple of glorious moments in the moonlight real soon!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOON SONG?
Moon River is my favorite along with Blue Moon....the pictures came fine ..love them.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for the moon but haven't seen it lately. We have had dusty weather for many days now. Wishing you a super Saturday. Tammy

♥ Oh, yes....Moon River sung by Andy Williams! ♥
ReplyDeleteI am frequently tempted to try to photograph the moon, but have not camera up to the challenge. :)
Harvest Moon by Neil Young would have to be my first choice, altho Moon River would be a close second. I remember learning the melody on the piano and playing it over and over again.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the springtime moon. Very dreamy.
Hello from Spain: the moon is very romantic. Great photos. My favorite song is too 'Moon River' from Breakfast at Tiffany's. I liked a series of years ago called 'Moonlight' with Bruce Willis. Keep in touch

ReplyDeleteI am always wondering what time that blue light comes out at night - that is so pretty. I've read it comes out every night.
ReplyDeleteHow about a poem?
Hey diddle diddle the cat and the fiddle
The cow jumped over the moon?
Something like that...
Moondance by Van Morrison and Moon Shadow by Cat Stevens.
ReplyDeleteI love to photograph the moon and now that I have a tripod for my camera I expect much better results.
