Stained glass and transparent, beveled glass windows are very appealing.
In one neighborhood I used to walk in, there was a house that had pink stained glass in almost every window.
It required slowing down, looking longingly, and sighing deeply.
Over the years, quite a few decorative pieces of window glass have been added to our home and each is cherished.
The one shown in today's post is in the Nutmeg Restaurant in East Windsor, Connecticut.
At a bridal shower there recently, in addition to all the lovely details of the event, I loved this glass!
DO YOU HAVE GLASS ART IN YOUR HOUSE OR APARTMENT?
I've always loved stained glass and had two beautiful windows in my past home. Now in our pent house apartment we had made a lovely sky-light in our kitchen; with red roses and hummingbirds and I have posted it a few times. Your window is gorgeous, stained glass is magical! Thanks for your sweet visit, my friend.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week.
FABBY
I like this glass, but no, I have none in my house. Lots of windows but no stained or patterned glass!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit to my blog today. Been working on writing pages while my mind still holds the images clearly. Came home to lots of "stuff"! I need to hang on to the trip memories tightly!
No stained glass in my house either but I have many sliding glass doors.
ReplyDeleteI think the ones you have in your house are wonderful!
Your window is wonderful! I have always loved stained glass. I would have the one in my house.
ReplyDeleteNice day.
Hello from Spain: I have a stained glass door in my living room. I really like the glass windows. Very elegant. Great works of art. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteOh, the window is gorgeous, Susan! Alas, I have no stained glass windows but I do have a couple of angels and a butterfly which were gifted to me. Happy Autumn and have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
I do love stained glass; it seems to lend an air of elegance to any window or door. The one in your post is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe only stained glass (actually beveled glass)we have is a pretty panel in our front door. It is especially magical in the winter when the trees are bare and the early morning sun shines through and really lights up the hallway/stairway. Sometimes I even sit on the stairs and have my coffee just to enjoy the ambiance it creates.
I love lead glass like that and yes to this question - our entire front door is lead glass - except for the frame of course - so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat is such gorgeous glass. I used to have pretty stained glass windows when I lived in an old bungalow in the city.
ReplyDelete... the window is gorgeous,Susan.
ReplyDeleteWe have sliding doors in our lounge room that are patterned with vertical 'ridges' and 'bubbly' green and yellow transom windows in some of our rooms. The house is about 100 years old and sadly other pretty glass window pieces had been replaced with plain glass before we came here.
hugs ..... Barb xx
Hi Susan: Love the stain glass piece you shared today. I always get a smiled when I see your face. I wonder why? Maybe because you look so happy. Love you lots. Hugs, Martha
