Part of any vacation worth its calories is the enjoyment of special meals.
They may be in restaurants or in the homes of hosts.
The steak dinner shown here was the culinary masterpiece of a host whose cooking skills border on gourmet.
Perfectly grilled steaks were topped with an onions and mushrooms mixture.
He made it with butter, onions, mushrooms, salt, pepper, and good quality red wine. Mmm mmm mmm
Along with the steak came rosemary potatoes, buttered green beans, and rolls, all of which made for a totally scrumptious dinner.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO EAT WHEN ON VACATION?
Looks delicious...as far as what I like to eat it depends on where I am. If I am near the ocean on the east coast it would be lobster and fried clams! Yum Yum
ReplyDeleteYou know the right places to go I always trying new places when on holidays but the best was a breakfast in Singapore the beer fairy and I still talk about it lots of variety and lots of very fresh tropical fruit.
ReplyDeleteMerle.............
Hello from Spain: Hello from Spain: I love seafood and fish. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteI like to "do as the Romans" do and try to eat as the locals do. It's fun and tasty to try new foods and new ways of preparing food.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I would love to have that steak dinner! Sounds like it was prepared with lots of love.
My favorite place to vacation is the northeast, and I will order seafood every time!
ReplyDeleteMmm... looks so good! I'm not sure if I have a favorite thing to eat when I'm on vacation...probably anything since I don't have to cook and that in itself is a treat :) Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteIt's not the eating, it's the drinking since I live in a dry country. :) Beer for lunch and wine for dinner. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteI know you could not eat that every night - but I do like to eat one meal like that on vacation - that looks so good with the mushrooms - yum!
