Day Tripping Adds Zip and Zest to Life

Taking a day trip is a surefire way to add a little fun and frolic to life's routines.

Last weekend a day trip provided  the chance to see gorgeous fall foliage.

Stop at a charming country store.

Enjoy a delicious late breakfast in a restaurant.

 Shop at  Trader Joe's.

Pick up some sweet corn on the cob at a roadside farm stand.

And even zip into a Goodwill Store for a quick shopping trip.

The sun splashed weather added to the enjoyment.

It was fun, fun, fun.

Once winter descends, day trips will be harder to take so it's nice to have them now, in autumn.

Winter time requires snuggling under a soft quilt on the couch, in front of the fireplace, and watching the snow fall.

WHERE WAS THE LAST PLACE YOU WENT ON A DAY TRIP?

  1. This looks like such a fun day especially a stop at that cute Country Store.

Lets see...I can't remember the last time I had a day trip - I guess I will have to change that. Hugs to you!

  2. How nice for you to get out before snow flies. I love the store. When we went to Vermont, my whole goal was to visit many stores with wooden porches and slamming screen doors!!! Hubby thought I was nuts but he got on the wagon after the first one.

  3. I'm going to Laguna Beach on this coming Sunday which is a day trip for me. Meeting several friends and having lunch there. It is a gorgeous place to visit. I'm so lucky I don't live too far away from it. It's summer all year round here so I can take as many day trips as I want now that I'm retired...YAY.

  6. There are so many of those cute country stores in the NE. We went to visit the Indian Mounds in Illinois a few weeks ago.

  7. Hi my friend, just catching up and wanted to visit you first! Love all your recent posts, especially the dollhouse one! My dollhouse is decorated for fall too. Pretty fun, huh?
I have missed you and your lovely blog.
The trees are just beginning to turn out here in OR. A very late fall.
    Hugs,
    Linda

  9. It did look like you had a great time and found some interesting things - I love trips like that. When the kids were here 4 weeks ago - we went north to some apple orchards too.
