Decorations to Make People Smile

Most people would agree that decorating our homes or apartments is fun.

(By the way, the pumpkin in the above photo is really a walnut shell that I painted orange and gave a face to!)

Using decorations to make people smile adds to enjoyment.

There's a big nick knack rack on our kitchen wall.

Its contents are changed with the seasons or holidays-at-hand.

Right now, it holds mostly fall and Halloween decorations.

Many are meant to be humorous.

Almost everyone who sees them smiles and that, in itself, makes me happy.

DO YOU HAVE ANY HUMOROUS DECORATIONS AT YOUR PLACE?

I probably shouldn't admit it, but I'm not sure I have any humorous decorations!

In fact, I'm still only thinking about opening the basket in which I've stored autumn decor. I did a major purge of it after last season and honestly can't remember what I kept. It's time to find out!

I like the walnut pumpkin! I'm going to send my hubby out to see if he can find a few in the beds around our walnut tree and I just might make some!

Great idea for the painted walnut "pumpkins". Your knick knack shelf looks very "fallish" and is ready for a Happy Halloween. Anything that brings a smile or a chuckle is a good thing.

I do have some outside decorations that I've had for years that are humorous; one is a little green leprechaun who is playing an accordion. He belonged to my Irish mother in law and she so enjoyed placing him in her flower bed. Quite a few years ago My sister gifted me with 2 musical froggies; one is playing a banjo and the other a guitar and so I place the 3 "musicians" together and they make sweet music among the lillies and bring a smile to my face!

Cute Halloween decorations Susan...they will bring many smiles to people who frequent your home this season. I have a clown stuffed pumpkin, another that is a smiling witch, another that has a tooth missing and a smiling scarecrow. All my other things are "scary"..ha.

My decorations may not be humorous, but my tackling seasonal decorations ALWAYS is!
What a mess I make- plus something always falls and breaks, etc.

Enjoyed visiting so much, and I am a new follower.
