Winter Wonderland and Merriment Galore

During the weekend, a really delightful and colorful Winter Wonderland event took place in a small Western New England town.

Luckily, I was able to drive there and check it out.

Plenty of times during this busy time of year, the desire to go somewhere is great but the "to do" lists are sooooo long.

This time, however, I left the list home and just enjoyed the event.

Couldn't wait to show you some of the trees and decorations in the Crane Model Farm, a luscious mansion in Dalton, Massachusetts.

Oh my. Living in such a grand place must have been incredible.

I always picture what it must have looked like in "the day" and can even see women in their long gowns swishing around the corners. (I have an active imagination. ha)

Anyway, hope you enjoy the photos.

DO YOU ENJOY SEEING A VARIETY OF CHRISTMAS TREES ALL DECORATED FOR THE HOLIDAYS??

  1. Lovely trees...sometimes the best thing is to do out and enjoy the glitz and bling of other trees and then come and sit quietly at home with a cup of tea. I guess your snow is not keeping you home!

  4. I know what you mean about the "to do" lists preempting the fun events. Glad you were able to go out and enjoy the Crane Mansion all decorated for the holidays.

The snowfall here was beautiful and as there was no wind the trees outside retained their beautiful dusting of snow for a couple of days. I really enjoyed sitting in front of the fire and watching the birds play "catch me if you can" out side my window. Mother nature did all the decorating for me!

  7. I loved all those trees - very pretty. Georgia or Atlanta - hosts something called the Festival of Trees - and we have a HUGE auditorium filled with beautiful trees! It is a great place to visit during the winter.
