I try really hard to refrain from buying any more dolls because one day soon I'll have to start paring down collections.
However, there are a few that remain very special to me.
One is the Victorian beauty shown in today's post.
Patti, my dear high school friend, gave her to me. She bought her at a yard sale.
The doll is one of the prettiest darlings I've ever seen.
Her dress is magnificent and is done in different shades of my favorite color, pink.
She've very tall, too---more than two feet!
Even her hair is gorgeous.
This year, I placed her at the top of the stairs where she welcomes whoever goes up to the second floor of our house.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE DOLL?
There was a time when I wanted to have a doll collection but somehow I never got around to pursuing that. I do enjoy looking at other people's collections though. Your welcoming dolly is gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Dolly
ReplyDeleteGood morning in Sunday morning :)
Hello from Spain: Victorian dolls are very elegant. Your doll is fabulous. I also collect dolls. My favorite doll is a baby like the real ones. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteOh Susan, can I tell you that your doll reminds me of ME!......brown eyes, long hair, brown hair, curly hair.
ReplyDeleteI do have a few favorite dolls, one of them is a porcelain doll, and she is wearing a replica of my wedding dress. My mom sewed the dress and veil, and I will treasure it always.
