The Last Roses...
Remember the song, "The Last Rose of Summer?"
Well, on our kitchen table are the last roses of Easter.
The lovely bouquet of flowers given by a niece finally bit the dust.
However, I rescued a few of the last but still delicate, precious apricot colored roses.
They look darling in a deep green vase and placed on a colorful
crocheted doily that probably some grandmother made with love.
They exude simplicity and loveliness.
WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF SIMPLICITY?
Simple pleasure make the heart sing, don't they?
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are sweet. But I love the doily. It is colorful and charming.
ReplyDeleteI do that to flowers, keep the last blooms as long as I can. Simple pleasures!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
Love the crocheted doily Susan..that is just beautiful. I still have my roses from Easter on my dining room table but will take them off tomorrow as they are fading away. I lead a simple life every day..just to wake up to lovely sunshine is my simple pleasure.
ReplyDeleteI love that little knitted doily there.
ReplyDeleteLast rose was pretty.
Simplicity - elegant.
