Cherry Tomatoes High on Yum Factor!
One of the best purchases made this season is a cherry tomato plant.
Underneath it is a trio of smiling bun buns. Aren't they adorable?
It cost $10.99 and has paid that back a couple of times.
The the tomato plant, and bunnies, sit on a chair on the back porch, in the sun. The plant gets watered faithfully.
As soon as the small green tomatoes turn, they get picked by a little visitor to our house.
We are lucky if we get to taste any because she loves to pop them into her own mouth like candies! ha!
This has been a generous and "delicious" plant!
The faux bun buns bring smiles on a daily basis. Best yet, because they are "fake," they cannot eat our cherry tomatoes! Ha!
DO YOU LIKE CHERRY TOMATOES?
I love cherry tomatoes, beefeater tomatoes, and any tomatoes off the vine...delicious. I'll be right over for a nice salad with them in it!
ReplyDeleteI am afraid I can't eat them, I am allergic. :( But I love your story! The bunnies are very cute. Kit
ReplyDeleteLove cherry tomatoes! Cute bun buns!
ReplyDeleteYou have reminded me of when Ricky was little - he used to do the same thing - that is great she loves them!
ReplyDeleteSusan, my husband has three different types of tomatoes in his garden, and one of them is the cherry tomato. The medium-size ones we've already tasted, but the big ones take longer to ripen. Those will be my favorite.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you also have some home grown tomatoes this summer - there's nothing like them, is there?
Happy 4th of July, my dear.
love, ~Sheri
Love tomatoes and can't wait for our first ripe one. So much rain here, though, everything is wilting.
ReplyDeleteHome grown tomatoes of any kind are definitely yummy. xo Laura
