The Book "Girlfriends Forever " for a Dear Girlfriend



"Girlfriends" by Susan Branch is one of my absolutely favorite gift books.

The book is  filled with tons of photos as well as fun information and writing that makes for enjoyable reading. 


 Susan's unique, handwritten style of writing, and her own art to illustrate her books, exude charm.



 So for a sweet friend's recent birthday, I wrapped up a copy of the book in shiny silver paper.

 Then, wide white satin ribbon (yard sale purchase) provided an elegant touch.


 Also tucked in a yellow silk rose because yellow is one of my friend's favorite colors.



 It's good to save silk flowers for just this purpose. One never knows when they might come in handy.

    I am familiar with Susan Branch and have read some of her books altho I don't think I have read the one in your post. I do enjoy her blog also. She does have a unique style of writing and is a fabulous artist. I enjoy all the quotes she includes in her books and blog.

    Nice gift for your friend who loves yellow and white. I'm sure she was very pleased with it.

    I had a Susan Branch calendar and she is a great illustrator. I've never read the book but I think friends are very important in life.

    I didn't know that book existed - but it looks really wonderful!!! And to use a rose when wrapping - what a good idea.

    This sounds like a wonderful book, Susan. I should get one for my best friend. We've been best friends since high school. What a nice gift this is, and the wrapping is pretty.

    I like Susan Branch books, and just loaned out my copy of her AUTUMN book. I have not seen her girlfriends book and yes, I would like to have one when I find it!!! So hot here, Susan!
