Bryant House Restaurant in Vermont

After the arduous task of perusing the Vermont Country Store, a light lunch of salads is always in order.

Bryant House Restaurant is located right next door to the famed country store so it's a hop, skip and a jump away.

Two friends and I visited both recently.

Two of us ordered salads and one ordered a veggie burger without the roll and sweet potato fries.

My salad (shown right below) consisted of apple and chicken slices, lettuce, walnuts and green and red grapes, with a maple dressing.

My friend's salad included blueberries, cucumbers, strawberries, cashews, lettuce, chicken and thin slices of brie cheese along with a piece of johnny cake and butter.

The prices are a tad high but the food is good and the location is convenient.  Two pluses.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SALAD?

  5. Your photos are lovely, and the meals and presentations are amazing! Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada! I have been to Vermont many times and just love it there! It is only about an hour and a half drive from Montreal. Even though I haven't been there in over two decades, the memories that I have of my many visits there stay with me. You have a lovely blog, thank you so much for sharing. :)

  6. The food looks great! We eat salad twice a week. I throw everything I can in it but I like to add raisins and sunflower seeds for a little different flavor. MY husband does garlic mushrooms and beets over his plus there is always that three bean salad we add too!

  7. I love any kind of salad...everything in it too. I would have enjoyed the salads very much. I'm not a fan of veggie burgers or sweet potato fries. I like real hamburgers and real french fries. The pictures you took are wonderful. They make me hungry....so yummy.
