The Last Saturday in September
Today is the last Saturday of September, 2015.
Ahhhhh, the sweet demise of my birthday month is almost here.
It's been a really good month, though, filled with lots of work, some organizing, memorable celebrating and endless memory-making.
At granddaughter's request, we made chocolate chip cookies a couple of times, too!
Reluctantly, the cobalt blue glass came down from kitchen windowsills, replaced by amber glass.
But now it's a delight to see the fall world through amber colored glass!
Autumn decor is out in full force and the lovely fragrances of this time of year fill the air.
Now, we'll relish each remaining day of September and then, on to October!
Hope your Saturday is good, whatever you are doing!
CAN YOU SHARE WHAT IS ONE THING YOU'D LIKE TO ACCOMPLISH TODAY?
Its a lovely rainy day here in Georgia. I hope to start on a pocket letter for an exchange I'm in today. The usual cleaning the kitchen and laundry is also to be done!

Hello from Spain: In my town this last weekend of the summer and in September it is sunny and warm. Your September was great. Your cookies are very tasty. Today I'm going to skate with my daughters. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteIt's the Eid holiday here. My husband has been off for three days but goes back to work tomorrow. Zack is back to school on Monday. We've just been hanging out; a bit of crocheting on my part. October begins a month of birthdays here and our anniversary. Next Saturday is college boy's 20th birthday. Have a good weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteI guess I didn't realize that this was indeed the last Saturday in September. Wow.
ReplyDeleteYour amber glass looks beautiful; perfect for Autumn in New England.
My husband and I are on the Connecticut Shore. We are staying at my brother's beach house in Niantic. He has courses to take, but me? I am totally resting and relaxing. Had a bad cold/sore throat all week so really need some r and r. The weather is cooperating nicely and we plan to have dinner on Misquamicut Beach. Hopefully the moon will be rising by then and we can listen to the ebb and flo of the waves as we dine.
Glad you had a memorable birthday month. Wish I had some of those chocolate chip cookies right now!
Oh Susan, those chocolate chip cookies look so scrumptious. I wish I had one to go with my tea right now. You and your granddaughter must have had a fun time making them. You are so blessed, my friend.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, there is nothing today that I want to accomplish. Just relaxing and visiting my favorite blogs. :)
love, ~Sheri
It's sunday here, the day of rest now that's something I'm good at.
ReplyDeleteMerle..........
Well, as the day is just about nearing the end, I did accomplish a few things today - ironing and cooking! Also watching a football game. We changed our original plan to go to a fair in a nearby town due to chances of rain continuing. The sun peeked through the clouds, and there was no more rain! We stayed at home anyway!:-)
ReplyDeleteIt is another dark day here in Georgia - if I didn't know better I would think we lived in Chicago. lol
ReplyDeleteI am sooooooooooooooooooo behind on everything. I have had a very powerful week and have been trying to take everything in.
Hard to imagine September gone!!! But no choice....must move on with it!!!
