Putting Variety Into Life Is a Good Thing!
Life can get dull and boring, if we let it.
Many people tend to do the same thing, the same way, day in and day out.
Now that can get boring.
Granted, some things we have to do on a regular basis, but we don't have to stay in a rut.
The other day, on the way home from a regular visit with my elderly aunt, I suggested to hubs that we take a little jaunt to a nearby lake.
The vistas are gorgeous and totally free.
My darling cousin had given us two fresh-from-the-oven cinnamon rolls that were too delicious to even begin to describe. She wrapped them, still warm, in aluminum foil.
We stopped at Dunkin Donuts, got two iced coffees, and headed for the lake.
That's where we had our truly delicious snack and we didn't eat another bite of anything for the rest of the night.
Being together, amid the priceless treasures of Mother Nature, provided the best-spent moments of the entire weekend!
It was easy to feel immense gratitude to God for all the blessings of our lives.
DO YOU EVER FEEL YOU'VE FALLEN INTO A RUT OF DOING THE SAME THING, DAY IN AND DAY OUT? IF YES, HOW CAN YOU CHANGE IT?
I agree with you - you have to do some spur of the moment things. Your lake by you is GORGEOUS! The view spectacular. And it was so nice to see that lady in red - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLoved your pictures of fall in New England at the lake where we grew up Susan. I love a change of scene now and then too. It makes life so much more interesting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasant change-up in your day, Susan! My personal realities don't allow for major shake ups, but you're so right about the of changing the routine every now and then...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!!

It works! :)
