Cheery Christmas Cubbies

The kitchen nick knack rack is always a hit with visitors.

There are so many decorative pieces sitting in little cubbies that it's just fun to stop and look at each of them!

There are still a few to fill but it will happen, little by little.

The small elf with the Big Red "B" on his chest tugs at my heart.

It was my late  Mom's.

Her name was Barbara and she absolutely loved craft sales.

She was always picking up treasures and the little Christmas elf was one of her treasures so now, I treasure it.

It's a fun Christmas decoration, that's for sure.

DO YOU DECORATE  FOR CHRISTMAS IN THE KITCHEN?

I have a few things in the kitchen for Christmas! I love your cubbies (you know I love cubbies). What a treasure to have such a sweet little guy from you Mom's collection.
hugs,

I love those little elves. And sad to say I do not decorate in my kitchen, but I should!

Your box looks great each year. Keep up the tradition!
Everything in there is darling.

Very cute! Isn't it nice to have something of your mother's to cherish and bring back fond memories? You are blessed indeed! :)

I used to decorate the kitchen more than I do now. I have lots of mugs and teapots and tea cozies in red and holly themes...they do the decorating in the kitchen for now along with a red berry wreath over the sink.

Your box of little treasures looks so festive. Must have a lot of stories to tell!

I do decorate a little in the kitchen. Have my red ribboned curtains up and a Christmas runner on the table. I always like to have my Christmas cups and saucers arranged on the table so I can enjoy looking at them and using them. Since the Christmas tree is in the living room we have to move one of the arm chairs into the kitchen and I love having a cozy and comfortable spot to sit and enjoy a cup of tea, or to open cards that I receive. In the late evening it's nice to just sit there and reflect on all the Christmases past. On the 15th of December we will have been in our home for 31 years....

I don't do the decorating I used to, much simpler now, but yes I like to feel Christmasy in every room, including the kitchen.

We've had window/door installers at our house this week, so there has been little decorating except for a few twinkle lights around the house. But soon we can pull out the boxes and gussy up the place.

Enjoyed your post, Susan.

Wishing you a beautiful day..
Brenda

Hello from Spain: I really like your miniatures. Fabulous Christmas decorations. I have in my kitchen crockery with Christmas decorations. Also I have an Advent calendar. It's a very nice time. Keep in touch

I scaled back on decorating this year, so the dining room and kitchen missed out, but I normally decorate in the kitchen, yes. Love your little things.
