Eve of a New Year!

Here we are on the eve of a new year of life!

There are so many emotions---- excitement, a little fear,  hope and many more.

We know we will probably lose more people we love but we will meet new friends, too.

We think with sadness on what was lost in 2015 but look forward to what may be in the year ahead.

Tonight hubs and I will attend yet another church service, this time for the Solemnity of the Blessed Mother of Christ.

After that, it will probably be a quiet evening as we are absolutely not into the hoopla of more partying.

As we move out of 2015, I wanted to share a special moment experienced on Christmas Eve, that brought tears to my eyes.

We were in church and the lights dimmed. Then came the jingle of heavy bells.

Soon, a perfect Santa made his way very slowly down the main aisle to the altar where he knelt by the baby king.

All the commercialization and exhaustion of the Christmas holiday melted in those few precious moments.

Now, on to the new year.

May blessings fill your hearts to the brim.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WOULD LIKE TO ACCOMPLISH IN 2016. CAN YOU SHARE IT?

  8. Happy New Year to you and your family, Susan.

Quiet nite at home here also. We were even too tired to stay up and watch the festivities at Times Square.

Praying for peace around the world and good health in the year to come.

  11. Susan, Mother Mary is so dear to me. It's nice to hear that you went to a mass to appreciate her. I love her so.

A sweet story about Santa kneeling at Jesus' birth.
