Framed

One of my favorite gifts to give people for all occasions-----anniversaries, newbornbabies, birthdays and so on----is a framed photograph.

Usually, it's of the person who is going to receive the gift or friends and family members of that person.

Consequently, I'm always on the lookout for pretty frames and stash them in a big old-fashioned trunk in my bedroom.

If the backs are made from a black, fuzzy material, like velvet, I freshen it by running wide pieces of tape over the material and lifting it. Works like a charm every time!

Recently, I found the frame shown in this post and thought it was so pretty.

The price was good, too, as it was less than two bucks!

Someone had cut a piece of rose-covered wallpaper and tucked it behind the glass. What a great idea!

I might even keep it the way it is, rather than insert a photo. It's that pretty.

DO YOU LIKE TO GIVE FRAMED PHOTOS AS GIFTS?

I love a nice frame! Your frame is a gift that would be very welcome, it's beautiful! I've never been to the Mark Twain Museum in CT, but it sounds like a wonderful place to visit. I often visit the home museums of my favorite authors.

What a good idea. I like the idea of freshening up good frames and storing them for future gift-giving. I also lie the idea of putting a pretty piece of fabric in the frame until it is used for a photo.
