Winter Is Back?
Oh NOOOOOOO.
Our lovely taste of spring weather has disappeared.
Temps had gone up for a few days and it was glorious to walk around without coats and boots.
One could even hear birdies chirping.
Then, last night, after the delightful sun went to bed, heavy chilly rain pelted the area.
There were winds, too, and the wind chimes on the back porch were going crazy.
Today, the weather report says snow flurries. Waaaaaaa waaaaaaa.
As a matter of fact, the little flakes are flurrying down from a light gray sky as I write this.
Looks like we will have to make our own sunshine in our hearts today.
ANYTHING FUN PLANNED FOR TODAY?
I keep waiting for a freeze to kill all our blooms and praying it doesn't happen. Last night I had fun at a cookout at my daughter's house. Neighbors, kids running around, just a great time. Today I'm heading to church. Wishing you a wonderful day sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteTulips! Love them. :)
ReplyDeleteWinter came back to me, too. Regards :)
ReplyDeleteWe went from 81 degrees yesterday to upper 50s today! I guess that's winter again, but everything is in bloom after a week of 70s. Spring will come, my friend, XOXO
ReplyDeleteWell I hate to see all that snow for you! lol We missed winter and went right into spring here.
ReplyDeleteI do love those tulips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going out to lunch today with a friend.

Raining here today but later this week we will have sunshine and temps in the 70s...I'm going to watch the academy awards. I love to see the dresses that actresses wear. Hope spring is around the corner for you!

We were 80 on Thursday and dropped 50 degrees by next night. Tulip trees and forsythia was all bloomed out too soon. Noe we are chilly with rain. Chemo tomorrow so that is its own dark weather!
ReplyDeleteit was 73 the day before yesterday and yesterday it snowed. go figure. but the snow is pretty even though i prefer the spring temps.
ReplyDeleteThis is just how it is during the change of seasons. We have no snow on the ground here in Central Illinois and back around 60 today so not bad at all. We too had one cold day (on Saturday), but the springtime birds are back in full here and the hardy spring flowers are blooming. Meterological Spring begins on Wednesday! :)
ReplyDeleteNOTE TO LINDA, above. Hi Linda. I tried to email you but you have Google-plus which I don't have so it was impossible to get through. Do you have another email address, like in gmail? If you read this, let me know. Thanks. Susan
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are a pretty color. Orange is such a happy color, and it will brighten up your house a little until spring comes. :) Although, I do love seeing your snow pics, Susan.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
