Today is Independence Day in the USA!
It's a day to think of all the brave men and women who fought so hard to keep this beautiful country free.
Many lost their lives in battle, never to return to their families.
In their memories, this day is celebrated.
There will be parades, barbecues and celebrating but please pause to remember those who sacrificed so completely for this country.
None of us can afford to let that freedom end so we must do our part to guard Democracy.
It is precious and, in these perilous times, it can slip away if we are not vigilant.

ReplyDeleteI hope you had a very nice fourth of July, dear. Ours was a quiet one this year and just made hot dogs and baked beans and watched a few fireworks later one. : )
