Incredible Chocolate Confections

The package that arrived as a gift for Valentine's Day was a gargantuan surprise.

It was from my out-of-state son and daughter-in-law.

They had ordered an extremely unique, gourmet box of chocolates from Recchiuti Confections, a company in San Francisco.

They had apparently read about the company in a New York Times article.

What was inside the box, (including another small black box), held the greatest treat received for the holiday of love.

To say it was a box of chocolates would do no justice of any kind.

The chocolates happened to offer tiny nibbles of heavenly flavors, the likes of which few people frequently eat.

Here is a link to  Recchiuti Confections.

In a small, white pamphlet inside the Black Box, Founder Michael Recchiuti, explained how he has always loved chocolate and always will.

Jacky Recchiuti is also a founder of the company.

Making chocolate confections has been his "life and passion for over two decades," he said.

"Still each time I pour a bowl of melted chocolate onto my work table and smooth it across that cool marble surface, I learn something new," he wrote in the little brochure.  "And every morning when I walk into my small San Francisco kitchen, I'm reminded of just how lucky I am."

Speaking of lucky, he's not the only one who hits the jackpot with his incredulous chocolates.

Recipients of these chocolate confections are more than lucky!

They are blessed.

I wonder how many of the recipients of the chocolates, like myself, carefully hide their stash and savor every single delectable and ahhhhhh-producing smidgen of a bite.

Happy Valentine's Day to me!

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF RECCHIUTI CONFECTIONS?

  1. This looks just like the gourmet candy that my best friend sent me one year. The heart was in the middle, and it had the taste of ginger. I remember the candy being really good, but there's still nothing like See's to me. I crave it sometimes, and it is simply wonderful.

This was such a nice gift from your son and daughter-in-law, Susan. Now, I'm wondering what that polka dot one is.
