Peace.
For most of my life, peace has eluded me.
So much of life is full of frantic activity, problems, and seeking solutions to them, appointments, difficulties, and so on.
It's challenging to find peace amid the chaos and busyness of life.
One of the advantages of getting older is seeking and then finding peace.
If a telemarketer calls early in the morning, even before we have had a chance to drink coffee, such a call can be an opportunity to find peace.
"Oh, thanks, I don't discuss that over the telephone. Have a nice day and thanks for calling." Then, hang up.
Years ago, that would be something I'd never dream of doing but I do it now.
Everyone deserves to have the gift of peace in their lives.
Time goes by so quickly so no one really should have to wait until late in life to find peace.
It is there, in our own hearts.
We are the masters of our destinies.
We have the right to say, "No thanks, I need to be peaceful."
Amen.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I am learning a whole lot, the older I get. I sure wish I had learned to say NO many years ago. It is difficult to try to live your own life and yet try taking care of ALL things. It has taken me a long time, but I can finally say NO and go about my day with peace.
ReplyDeleteI do not answer any phone calls unless I know the caller. That is how I keep peace in my house.
ReplyDeleteYour words made me smile, Susan, as I just had a telemarketer call. I shouldn't have picked up the phone, but I did haha. It causes stress when we get those unwanted calls, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteKeep searching for peace, dear Susan. And keep it close to your heart. Your blog exudes peace, which is one of the reasons I love it so.
