Some hobbies garner attention for a short amount of time and then lose their appeal.
Others last a lifetime.
Dollhouses and miniatures have, personally, been a top notch hobby since the teenage years.
Throughout life, whatever is unattainable for the big house, could be obtained for the dollhouse and now it's just a small apartment.
How cool is that to be able to get whatever you want, just in miniature size?
Making household articles, food items, furniture, and hundreds of other tiny things has been great fun, creative, and fulfilling.
Now in the winter of life, guess what?
Dollhouses and miniatures are still thrilling.
DO YOU HAVE A LIFELONG HOBBY
(OBSESSION?) IF YES, PLEASE TELL US
WHAT IT IS.
I've always been fascinated with how they can make the doll house size furniture and decor look so detailed. One of my biggest hobbies is journaling. I have SO MANY journals! I also love calendars! weird I know. it takes me a very long time to pick out my journal/calendar for the year.
ReplyDeleteI don’t have a hobby but I like to go to aqua aerobics three times a week and sing in the church choir ! Very cute dollhouse accessories!
ReplyDeleteSo many cute dollhouse pieces to look at, Susan. You must have been so thrilled when you went inside this shop and saw all the wee items. That first one is wonderful. I like the white ones the best. I sure wish I had kept the one my father-in-law made for the girls when they were little. But then again, with all the moves, I guess it had to go. This is a fun hobby for you. And you know, Photography, especially nature, is a hobby of mine. : ) I like to decorate like you as well during those wonderful holiday seasons.
