A Victorian-styled lamp shade, in my favorite color of pink, has a brass base.
The lamp has been among favorite decorating items for many years.
Even recently, the base of the lamp looked tarnished and grubby so it got a good scrub session with special brass polishing paste.
It is an old lamp so bears signs of age and wear.
After settling in a small apartment, following several moves after the sale of a big house we used to live in, it became very hard to find a place for the lamp.
People who live in small spaces know how frustrating this can sometimes be.
Finally, the lamp now sits on the bathroom counter top.
It gives off a lovely, gentle light, too, and actually adds so much to the ambiance of the room.

That is such a pretty lamp that you don’t see anymore. It deserves to be spruced up with brass polish. I tend to rotate my favorites throughout the year. I have a favorite little lamp with a pretty shade that used to sit in a roll top desk - love that lamp so in the darker months, I place it on the kitchen counter. I like the cozy light it gives off.

ReplyDeletegood morning Susan...this is a very pretty lamp and I can see why you would want to keep it and find a special spot for it's use. I have things packed away because they mean so much to me, but I simply do not have a place for them. Enjoy this wonderful weekend.
