Weather reports that the next few days are going to be pretty hot.
Of course, we are in the very heart of summer so nobody expects it to be chilly, snowy, or freezing out.
Summer brings lots of things-----flowers, farmers markets, outdoor concerts, ice cream-----and hot temperatures.
However, we can keep cool despite the heat. This is especially true if hot weather makes you crabby.
We can put on fans or, if not too scared of bills, air conditioners; stay hydrated by drinking lots of liquids; remember that alcohol is a diaretic; take time to relax, to breathe deeply, to enjoy the moment; avoid huge bouts of the news; sit back in a comfy chair and read; and on and on.
Here's to you on this beautiful Sunday! Keep cool!
Your photo of the yellow flowers in the blue vase brightened my morning. So pretty Susan. August is the one month that I dread seeing the light bill. I've tried keeping the thermostat up enough to where it is not running all the time. We are in a heat wave as well and I am ready for it to pass. Enjoy a nice relaxing Sunday and try to stay cool.
ReplyDeleteSo far we've had a delightful summer ...not too hot and only one or two day of temps in the 90s. Otherwise it's been very pleasant with just a fan on. I keep cool by going to the pool and drinking lots of herbal iced tea and water. Have a wonderful time today at the beach.
