Plants we know as children sometimes remain in our minds for good.
One of these in my own memory is a "snowball" plant.
Oh, how we used to love to see the huge, showy flowers when summer rolled around each year.
I don't remember their being fragrant but they sure were beautiful.
So, seeing a large bush of "snowballs" in my daughter's yard, I exclaimed how they brought memories of the same flowers seen as a kid. However, I was wrong. My daughter told me the plant is limelight hydrangea, even though it looks very similar to a snowball plant.
Limelight hydrangea, according to online information, usually grow six to eight feet high.
The bush or tree in the yard is truly spectacular.
The blooms on the top look very similar to ice cream cone tops!
They turn pink when going by at the end of summer.
Limelight hydrangea should win a prize for its unique and showy appearance.

Oh I have many hydrangea plants on my patio but none as big as that one. It's quite large. I have never seen one like it. Your daughter must really enjoy looking at it and you too.
I’ve never seen a hydrangea like that. So pretty.
