Prayers and Cookies on Holy Thursday

Freshly baked Easter cookies to give as little gifts have been a part of my life since teenage years.

There is something just very satisfying in creating sweet treats for those we care about and love.

Contemplating the meaning of Easter, keeping in mind the sacrifice Jesus made for all, I make fresh sugar cookies and simply decorate them.

Then they are placed in Easter decorated plastic baggies. 

Today will also see cheese braids popped into the oven.

 Some of those will also be given as sweet gifts for the upcoming special holiday.
