It's important to surround one's self with things that make you happy.
The world can often be a cold and cruel place.
Our places of living, however, can be havens of peace and loveliness.
It's not necessary to spend a lot of money.
Small items, even some picked up at thrift stores or yard sales, often can be quite beautiful or humorous.
What decor is pleasing is all up to one's individual taste and style.
Shown are a few decorated, very colorful corners of a small apartment.

You got that right. If anyone told me say, ten years ago, that the US government would be attacking and threatening the Pope of all people, I wouldn't believe it yet here we are. I have a nice garden refuge, but at the same time engage in political activism. Catholics need to step up to the plate before it's too late.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty things Susan. Nice pictures. I bought myself some flowers from Trader Joe's this week. My zoom meeting with friends from years ago was yesterday and all commented on how lovely they looked. It made me smile. With all the negative things going on in the world it's nice to have our own peace in our homes.
ReplyDeleteLovely things around the house can really make a home charming and cozy and delightful. I've always loved your trumpet angel. That looks like a new pot of pink flowers, so pretty. And that little lamb is definitely a dear stuffie. Candles always add a special touch too. I'm glad you have several favorite items to surround your home and make it comfortable for you, Susan. I'm going to the home shop right now to see if they have any jewelry for my trip, and hopefully I don't come home with house things hehehe. It's sometime hard to resist, right?
