An old thrift store that was frequented many times while living in a certain Western Massachusetts city is still there!
It has stood the test of time.
While in that area this past weekend, it became possible to stop in the old store for a trip down memory lane.
While loving recreational thrift store shopping, purchases these days are fewer and farther between. However, when eyes latched on to a gorgeous transparent vase adorned with gold embellishments, it was love at first sight.
So what if someone doesn't need another vase?
The answer is easy. Just turn it into a candle holder.
Because of strict rules about burning regular candles in the small apartment, all candles here are faux.
However they look like the real thing with even moving flames!
The vase is a beauty.
The long piece of colorful material being used as a buffet runner was found in a thrift shop years ago.
It's perfect for autumn.
How about you? How are you enjoying these September days?

Oh Susan, I love all things Italian. Your vase is so pretty, and what a great idea to put a candle inside. It looks very nice on your buffet, which is gorgeous, by the way. I've always loved that dark traditional furniture. The gold design on the vase is pretty, and it really does add a little something to your fall decor. I'm glad you found that at your recent trip to the thrift shop. Have a blessed week, Susan.
