Shadows, shadows, near the trees
Where do you come from, tell us please?
Gliding quietly across the lawn?
Gigantic trees or little guys,
You appear near both, just like a prize.
Sleek and dark and steadfast, too,
When the sun appears, we can count on you.
But shadows where are you in rain?
Not to be found and trees are plain.
Same thing goes when there is snow,
Without the sun, you just don't show.
Shadows, shadows, near the trees,
The sun's here now, so be at ease.
WHY DO YOU THINK WE HAVE SHADOWS?
Note to Readers: On Friday, November 5th, I will be traveling so I'll see you on Saturday! Hugs to all. Susan

Congratulations on 150 followers Susan...cute poem. I like to think of the song "Me and My Shadow" when I think of shadows....
Hey Susan! Your tree posts have been so very lovely and colorful. I think shadows are there to remind us that we are not alone. Even if we can't see things clearly, someone is always there to see us through. Wishing you a terrific Thursday! :) Tammy
Shadows - well I think back to shadow tag as a child, where you could be tagged if someone stepped on your shadow.
Congrats on your 150!

On Groundhog Day, I take my students outside and draw their shadows.
Hi Susan -
Great pic!
I linked to your blog over at Susie's Sandbox. I did a post on Mom's dolls complete with pictures.

Hi Susan!
I think we have shadows so we can tell the difference between the light and the dark.
I pray you will have safe travels!
Hugs to you, too!
