Part of the fun of visiting towns and cities is seeing what they have to offer in the way of interesting shops.
In Western Massachusetts, I nearly flipped when seeing handcrafted rings and pins, shown in this post, for the first time.
Inside a shop that features the creations of 25 area artists and crafters, there are rings like you've probably never seen in your life.
One of them features a tiny plate of breakfast foods including two eggs, bacon, sausage links, toast, and a bitsy fork to "eat" them with. She said a waitress who serves food in a restaurant might like to wear this kind of ring.
There's a pin that features a tiny red lobster, complete with its own container of "butter," lemon slices, and the tool to crack it open.
There's a spaghetti and sauce ring, too! (Maybe one would wear this when going out to dinner with an Italian boyfriend or husband?)
Not all of the artist's ring creations feature food. Some have wine bottles smaller than your baby finger and a tiny glass with "wine" in them.
There are purse rings and shoes featured, too, as well as a miniature box of cigars, cheese with a grater, lemonade makings, and on and on.
Anyone interested in finding out more about the rings, artist, or shop, can write to them directly at Great Gifts and More, 146 North St., Pittsfield, MA, 01201. One of the owners told me they are working on a website and when it's up and running, they'll be able to offer mailorder. Their phone number is (413) 445-5577.

Oh my! Those are way unusual. I can't see myself ever wearing anything like that but they are interesting.
No, I have never seen rings such as these and I really want one. It would be so much fun to were a Turkey Dinner on a platter for Thanksgiving
Have never seen anything like it! It is so much fun to see unique creations. Did you purchase one?
Chris
Nope! Can't say that I have ever seen anything like them before. I love rings! I think the one with wine bottle and glass is calling my name. Ha! Happy weekend wishes to you, Tammy
Imagine the time to make these. I don't need a ring like these though because I always wear some of my lunch on my shirt anyway!!!
I have never ever seen rings like that. Extremely interesting and cute - but I don't think I would wear one. Not sure.
Love, sandie
