Joining Dayle at A Little of This and That for Simple Pleasures. Each week, bloggers tell one small thing in their lives that brings them joy.
Today, my simple pleasure is going to be taking a bath.
Now some people are shower folks, all the way. Showers are quick and effective. But I like a nice, long, leisurely bath.
If scented bath gel can be added to the water, it's even better. Lighted scented candles around the bathroom, too, help create a relaxing atmosphere.
Part of the bathing ritual is using beautifully scented lotions, too.
During a visit to a new country store, I snapped the photo of all the lotions, etc., shown at left. Mmmmm, would like a quite a few of them. The sign, shown above, also was for sale in the store.
Ahhhhhhh, a bath is an exquisite yet simple pleasure of life.

I love to take nice very very hot bubble baths.I only stay in about fifteen minutes but it is very relaxing. Nantucket Briar is my favorite scent.
Sounds lovely, but it has been a long, long time since that scene has happen here.....
Also our new fiberglass tub warns against pouring in much of anything like cleansers and strong soaps....hum...
I take a bath every night and then wash or just wet my hair in the morning before school (I'd have limp hair and a bedhead if I didn't). But there are times when a shower is necessary -- like the two along the with the bath I took last Saturday after repotting plants on the balcony. :) Best wishes to you, Tammy
I love long hot hot baths during the winter and like to have candles burning , I love bath and body warm vanilla sugar ....nothing like it
I'm a shower person but I do like the idea of a nice long fragrant bath. I just never get round to it somehow.
I mostly take showers because of time constraints, but I do love candlelit bubble baths. Definitely a simple pleasure!
I take showers, but I take baths once in awhile - I know you love your spa. Sandie
I've become a shower person. I used to indulge with long soaks, but now perfer the in and out shower! Your frangrant soaks sound wonderful though.

I mostly take showers but there is nothing like a nice relaxing bath for sure!
I love a long bath in a clawfoot tub and have had that pleasure in some B&B's we stayed in on trips. Do not have one in our home and due to a back issue take showers now. Having said that, I know there is nothing my friends love more than being gifted with lovely bath products they would not buy for themselves. Such a beautiful simple pleasure for sure. Enjoy your next one.
Blessings,
Lynn
I'm a bath lover all the way! One of the things I miss most during our time on the road is my bathtub. And a bubble-bath, pure heaven.
