The Power of Love

Stopped at a traffic light,  I read a bumper sticker on the car in front of me.

Grabbing a pen, I scribbled the message down on a envelope that was on the front seat.

Its message was so simple yet profound.

It made me stop and think so much that the light had turned green and my car hadn't even budged.  Good thing nobody was in back of me. They would have been tooting their horn like crazy.

This is what it read:

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."

Don't you just love that saying?  Imagine if every single human being on earth would give up love of power.

The power of love would blossom and proliferate, spreading throughout the earth like massive and endless fields of wildflowers.

No anger!  No belittling! No controlling!  No cruelty!  No meanness!   No sorrow!  No strife!  No tears!  No vengeance!   No viciousness!

Just peace and love.

Oh my, what a fabulous world that would be.

Guess the only thing we can do is our own little part.

In our own lives, as individuals, we can begin to consciously exercise the power of love over the love of power.

We can do our part.

DO YOU TRY TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE IN WHICH TO LIVE?  HOW?

That is powerful and oh so true. It's the control of others that causes all the problems. I prefer to spread peace, joy and love. :) Happy Sunday to you. Tammy

Yes I do try, by offering a smile and a kind word to those I encounter. I'm afraid this old world will never know peace but I'm glad I not only believe in a world to come, but I have God's peace that passes understanding in my heart.
