There are so many lovely decorative plates that it's a shame to keep them hidden away in a cabinet.
So when I found a wrought iron rack at a yard sale for a couple of bucks, it got snatched up.
All through the year I change the plates frequently but my favorite time is at Christmas.
The display changes throughout the season.
Holiday dishes I have used for more than three decades are by Nikko.
They have held up very well and I love the Christmas tree in the middle.
Last fall, I found a gorgeous platter in that pattern as well as a creamer and sugar bowl, all for an unheard of $4.99. Woo hoo. That was a major score.

Your plates are wonderful. I have several holiday plates I change by season too. I think plates are one of the best decorations because you can see them and use them both. I use a lot of large saucers as trivets for my tea pots during the changing seasons. A white tea pot can go on a Easter pink...blue flag...pumpkin color ...or red or anything!
I am preparing ham, mostaciolli, cheesy potatoes and salad.

My whole family is here on Christmas Eve and we do hors d'oeuvres - a counter top full of them - with lots of baked goods. (Every year I swear I'm never doing it again, it's too much work, but my family loves it and they bring some too.) Christmas morning we have egg casserole and "over-night coffee cake", and later in the day we have ham, mac and cheese, and sweet potatoes. Then I don't cook the rest of the week :-) A blessed Christmas to you all.
We got invited to my nieces for dinner but we are bringing two dishes.
I like your plates - I think the first one is my favorite - Santa. Then the last one with the beautiful tree.

Love all your plates especially since I do not own anything like it. I'm away for Christmas this year but when I'm home I like to cook a roast beef if I am having company...otherwise I like turkey! Happy Christmas!
Such pretty plates! Love them! I cook for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For tomorrow I do a buffet with finger foods, noodle salad, deviled eggs, etc. Then on the big day, I just roast a turkey, whip up some gravy and serve all the leftovers from the night before. :) Easy Peasy. Love the plate rack. I have a black one that is on my to do list for a few months - i want to paint it white.
I'm doing brunch for everyone then it's just me and Mr OP for supper. For supper I'm doing a turkey breast with cornbread stuffing.
