Friends, Family, Fun and Gratitude

(VISITING AT A DEAR FRIEND'S HOUSE)

This star-studded Christmas season has been so amazing.

There's been a lot of baking, cooking, decorating and entertaining at our house and probably at yours, as well.

Also, there's been the joy of giving thought-out gifts to loved ones and reveling in the expressions on their faces when they open them up.

Recalling the birth of the little baby Jesus has renewed my faith and given hope for the world and all its problems.

Soon it will be Christmas Eve and we will await, in hushed silence, the retelling of that magnificent night so long ago.

Nothing in the world has been the same ever since.

The photos in this post were taken in the home of a very dear person as well as others , most of whom have been our friends for more than 30 years.

What  a tremendous Christmas gift it was to be with them.

The hostess's elegant decorating taste throughout the home was a delight to see.

She cooked a most delicious tenderloin roast, green beans, a kind of Chinese cole slaw and rolls and butter.

All was so very delicious.

Of all the holidays, this one touches my heart the most.

Is it the same for you?

May your heart feel as warm and illuminated as this little candle, burning persistently this Christmas.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU WOULD LOVE FOR CHRISTMAS?

Susan, you always share such gorgeous photos and this post is one of my favorites! As far as what would I love for Christmas? Well, in addition to love, peace, happiness for everyone, and no evil in the world..I would love to spend a "someday" Christmas in snowy mountains, as in Austria! :)

I'm so blessed and excited this time year - only our Savior could bring such joy. When I read your question, I was surprised by the answer that popped into my mind. What I would love to see is Washington D.C. filled with politicians who see themselves as "Public SERVANTS." I love our country so much. God bless you and Merry Christmas.
