Berries and Chocolate

When a friend stopped by recently, I served lunch on-the-quick and dessert had to be improvised.

(If you missed yesterday's post and are interested in reading about the lunch, you can find it here.

There was no time to go out and buy something for dessert.

Luckily, I had some Driscoll brand red raspberries.

These always hold up nicely in the refrigerator for several days.

In a drawer in the pantry, there was an unopened bag of Hershey's kisses, left over from Christmas.

Grabbing a transparent glass plate with a pretty design, I placed the red raspberries in the middle.

Then, I unwrapped all the kisses and circled the berries with them.

The impromptu dessert was a pretty and sweet end to the lunch!

WHAT IS YOUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE DESSERT?

There is no contest..it is home made apple pie with vanilla ice cream! I also love raspberries so would have been very happy with those if I was at your house.

Now that is clever, Susan and it looks appealing. I have a calendar with funny sayings. This month: Wouldn't it be more fun to fall in chocolate? (than love). I like anything dipped in chocolate. dark chocolate is my favorite.

Very pretty dessert. I've heard that there are two kinds of people in the world - those who love chocolate and those who never smile. I'm smiling from ear to ear. My favorite dessert is chocolate chip cookies.

What a great idea! Will have to remember that one. It was such a pretty and appealing presentation on such short notice.

Creme Brulee is one of my favorite deserts; can't say I just have one...
Sometimes I could skip the main course and just savor a wonderful desert and coffee or tea.

Hope you have your snow shovel handy!!

Yummy! I saw something that reminds me of this. Pushing chocolate chips into the raspberries where the stem was. Mmmm...

Stay warm and safe!

Oh, I saw your berries and chocolate and had to comment. They look so yummy. I would have to say that Brownies are my favorite dessert, and coming in second is chocolate cake and white frosting. YUM!

Love,
