Miniature Outdoor Chair Cushions

Of all my beloved hobbies,  dollhouses are my number one fave.

Right now, I've just  begun making a yard for my pink dollhouse.

I got a bulletin board, painted the border white and found a roll of "grass."

Hubs stapled it on.

Now, I'm making cushions for several pieces of outdoor furniture that have been in storage for more than a decade.

See?  Never give up on a dream!

A trip to T.J. Maxx turned up the adorable baby outfit with white polka dots on pink and tiny pink flowers.

It was in the clearance section.

I almost hated to cut it up but I did.

The cushions are actually used fabric softener sheets, folded up and glued.

So far , three of the chairs now have pretty and cushy cushions! Woo hoo!

From time to time, I'll show you more progress on the dollhouse yard!

Thanks for hosting, girls!

I never had a dollhouse, it was somehow not in Russian tradition, but I had a set of wooden furniture, with wardrobe, a bed, a kitchen cupboard, and another lower kitechn cupboard. I fitted to Barbie sized dolls. I love palyign with a lot, it was my dad's gift for my 5th bday :) Lovely memory!
I love seeing your dollhouse furnishing and how you make things and they look amazing! I like the outdoor set a lot.

oh it is beautiful! simply beautiful and magical and precious.

someone said you are talented. i agree, a thousand times. and your husband is helping, by "making grass"!

what a sweet way to make use of a darling little outfit, which being in clearance, no one seemed to want. but you rescued it, and used it to add to your doll house joy.

what a wonderful example you are, of following your bliss!!!

I don't have doll houses now, but I had one when I was little that I played with by the hour. Mine didn't have outdoor furniture. I love it that a part of us never grows up - I could really enjoy a doll house to play with :-)

I can hardly believe that you did that on your own - they look like expensive miniature furniture. I loved what you did and the bulletin board and grass. Have a good weekend. sandie

Oh, looking at your doll house makes me smile, Susan. I was just telling my husband today that I wish I would have kept the dollhouse that grandpa made for the girls when they were little. Years later when they were all grown up, I ended up giving it away, and I wish I hadn't. It's always so nice to see your miniature doll house furniture.

love,

Well now, that is very thrifty and a great idea for making cushions. I bet they smell nice, too. :) And that grass, looks much better as dollhouse yard than it does on an entire walking path. :/ Best wishes, Tammy
