Happy Fourth of July

To all American blog peeps, I wish you a Happy Fourth of July!

This is a patriotic holiday.

The drums that make our hearts beat, the waving of American flags that makes us proud and the aromas of sizzling burgers and steaks on the grill are all part of this special day.

Think of what it means to be free!

Think of the sacrifices made to obtain that freedom!

We are so blessed.

We can never forget those whose bodies were maimed or whose  lives were lost to give us our freedom.

To the United States of America, I raise a toast!

Bless this beautiful country from sea to shining sea.

Happy Fourth of July!

WHAT IS ONE FUN THING YOU ARE DOING TODAY, NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE?

funny thing about patriotism. When my daughtergot married, 21 years ago to the day, I did not cry untl I saw my son-in-law's ushers standing at attention in full uniform at the back of the church. They were ushers.

Happy 4th of July! We'll enjoy the company of a few friends and neighbors, barbeque a tasty lunch, toast to those who cannot be with us, express gratitude for those who fought for our country and those who still do. Bless you today and always! Vickie

We are having some friends over for a cookout. Haven't gotten together with them for many months, so we are really looking forward to seeing them.

Happy 4th to you and yours,
Patti

Your pictures are amazing. My maternal grandfather gave his life in WWII. I am thankful to all who have and are fighting for our freedom.
