Sunday's Thoughts: Time to Enjoy Every Leaf!

(Leaf photo by Susan Wicker-----taken on a sidewalk in New England.)

These days, it's hard to walk without looking down at the hundreds of colored leaves scattered hither and yon on the sidewalks and lawns in New England.

"No! No!  Don't fall. Cling to the branches a little longer" are the words I want to yell out.

But they wouldn't listen anyway.

Each leaf looks lovely to me.

The reds, the yellows, the oranges-----all creations of a great heavenly artist!

As the leaves swirl down from the trees, I feel the need to cherish each one.

This season, like life, goes by awfully fast so we must grab each moment and squeeze as much joy and delight from it as possible.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WILL DO TODAY THAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY?

Going to a festival at my church...Octoberfest with many ethnic dishes, bingo and other games, prizes and music. It will be such fun!

I was not happy about going back to school today after having a week off. I miss my free time and then feel rushed to get things done in the afternoon. So now I am taking the time to catch up on blogging but am looking out at the plants on my balcony and they are saying "water please!" It's still 100 degrees out there even at 5 p.m. Ugh! Best wishes, Tammy

Our leaves have not started falling yet. Still hope for more color as so far trees have color but muted shades. Rainy and damp, cool...hope I can stay inside and write today. Happy Sunday to you....

I love the fall - I love the colors you have there too. Today is rainy so we are hanging in.

The leaves here are just beginning to turn. I love the vibrant colors, but not the promise of winter. It's cold and rainy, so I ma making a crock pot of chicken vegetable soup.
