Final Chapter of Dollhouse Enchantment

Today we are honored and thrilled to share more of my friend, Violet's, fabulous dollhouse.

If you  missed the first installment, and still want to see it, you can check it out here:http://writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com/2014/12/artist-in-dollhouse.html

The living room (shown above and below) is all decked out for Christmas, of course, right down to the little sleeping girl on a chair!

She must have dozed off while waiting for Santa Claus.

Violet's dollhouse is more than a labor of love.

It provides enchantment for onlookers!

Check out the details, including the darling, very realistic "person," in the dollhouse bathroom!

Violet made many of the accessories in the dollhouse and bought others from artists at nationally renowned miniature shows.

Don't you just love  this bedroom dresser?

Inside the drawer is a minuscule sweater with ol' Mickey Mouse knitted on the front!

The dining room is lovely, too, particularly the beautiful glass lamp shades!  Swoon!

Violet made the turkey, cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes and gravy for the dinner!

Here is the man's den, along with, well, the pipe-smoking "man"!

It has a nautical theme and there's even an empty glass after the "man" had a bottoms up of alcohol!

Here is a shot of a hallway:

Many thanks to Violet for sharing her lovely dollhouse with readers of Writing Straight from the Heart.

WHAT FASCINATED YOU THE MOST, IF ANYTHING, IN TODAY'S DOLLHOUSE POST?

Susan - that doll house will have to be left at a museum or something. High quality and a lot of unusual items. That small Mickey Mouse Sweater. The little girl sleeping and the woman in the bathroom - awesome.

It's truly a labor of love and talent. It should be shared around the world with miniature lovers and little girls who love dollhouses as well as big girls too.

Oh how delightful, Susan. The furniture and all the pieces look charming, and the people look so real. I sure wish I didn't give the girls' doll house away. Yours looks like a real enchanted cottage.

I ended up getting a berry pie, and it was one of the best ones I've ever had.

love,
~Sheri

Loved the realistic residents. So cool. Also, the velvet curtains and lace in the middle were beautiful. Violet sure likes details!
