Strangers in the Night?

The other night our  neck of the woods got a ton of snow.

It was so delightful staying home.

We  were warm and cozy.

I spent some delightful time near the lighted Christmas tree and mantel and my heart filled to the brim with gratitude.

Right before bedtime, I looked out the window in our front entryway and was captivated by what I saw.

Naturally I ran for my camera and ventured out onto the snowy front porch.

The photos in this post are of scenes that drew me outdoors on that cold and snowy December evening.

The photo below shows lights in front of a nearby neighbor's house!

HAVE YOU TAKEN NIGHTTIME PHOTOS?

Lovely scenes. We have not had much snow yet. Snow is great when you are tucked inside with food and drink, books, and not agenda to get outside!

I can't believe the lights on the trees stay on despite all that snow. I don't do well in cold temperatures but wiykd definitely run out there to get a good photo. Ha! Glad you are warm and cozy. Best wishes, Tammy

So pretty! I wish we would get some more snow. Today it is a bit rainy. Rainy? I want snow. :) Have a lovely weekend! Kit

Susan,
I loved these pictures because we don't get to see the snow too much around here, unless we go up to the mountains about an hour away. Your front porch looks pretty, and I must go back and take in these stunning pictures again. The only night pictures I've taken were the ones when me and husband went downtown and saw main street all decorated with lights, and also the lights in front of my house.

This is such a magical holiday, my friend. Have a blessed weekend.

Those pictures are gorgeous and almost make me yearn for snow. I took a night picture one year when hamster size snowflakes were falling. It was stunning.
