Procrastination

(Sign outside that comes out every year on the front porch .)

Today I want to talk about procrastination.

There is a long list of things that need doing around here.

(Sweet Victorian sculpture in our hallway.)

Closets have to be decluttered as well as drawers and cabinets.

The attic is a freaking horror show.

My eBay area down in the basement is in dire need of revamping.

I put things down on my "to do" list but honestly, some items have been on that list for months.

So I'm going to throw it out there and ask you, dear readers:

WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE CAUSE OF PROCRASTINATION AND IS THERE A CURE FOR IT?

I figured it out! Procrastinators (myself definitely included) work so well under pressure that we just can't help but procrastinate. Hence, no cure is necessary. ;^P

I'm so guilty of procrastination that I can't even begin to guess at a cure! I have so many things that need doing...right now the 'heat' makes me lazy...well that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I think a list helps, but you must be faithful to it daily. Even marking a few things off the list is energizing so one feels like doing even more!

Oh I am so guilty of procrastination...I use ANYTHING as an excuse especially when it comes to housework and cleaning...The cure I think is to be very very busy and mark things off one at a time. The more leisure you have the harder it is to get to things on the "list".

A list helps. Yet sometimes one is not in the mood.

I need to sort out my art room and scraps. Doing it today. Weather is nice and we had such a terrible winter.

I read instead of doing.

Now it is nice out. I still had my do list not completed.

I must say I did clean the windows from winter.

That is my excuse.

I can totally relate. My "to do" list has things on it that have been there for years.

Girl I hear you, but it is hard to believe you are a procrastinator! Anyway I have a ton of things to do too - and while I work all the time - I still don't get why I have a pile of stuff to do!

PS Congrats.

I always procrastinate. Always say there is still time. Organizing and sorting and purging and cleaning should be top of my list but I just can't motivate myself to do any of it because I know in the process there will be a big huge mess and right now I don't even have any place to take the stuff that would need to be gotten rid of. So I think I will wait until after the summer, when Zack goes back to school. I'll get into more of a routine and take care of those sorts of things. Right now, I am just happy to be free from work and to have time before we take off for the States in two weeks. Pretty soon I'll have to start packing. Have a good day. Tammy
