Miniatures Sale a Boon for the Dollhouse

Dollhouse and miniatures lovers will attest that the hobby can get pricey.

Even if a person chooses to make a lot of the contents of a dollhouse, as I frequently do, cost of supplies can add up.

See the little scarecrow at the top of this post?  Here's her boyfriend:

My daughter called recently to say there was a 70% off sale of several items, including miniatures, at a Michael's Craft Store, located within driving distance.

Yippah!   It was with excitement yet trepidation that I got into the car and drove to Michael's.

Sure enough, there were some very incredible bargains in a bin marked 70% off.

The little tree is going to be perfect for two seasons of the year.

Originally it was $12.99 but I paid less than $4 for it.

Once potted, two packages of these little long greens will make perfect tall, standing plants for one of the dollhouses.

The two-inch tall scarecrows, shown in this post, will go in the fall theme front yard.

Front door topiaries are perfect, too.

It was a great sale and the dollhouses around here will definitely benefit from the purchases.

What would have cost more than $60 ended up being less than $24 and for that, I'm thankful.

Here's a shot of the whole stash:

DO YOU BUDGET MONEY  TO SPEND ON A HOBBY? (I didn't but spent money anyway. ha ha)

That was a great deal and yes I do! I found a great deal on some really pricey watercolor brushes (almost 75% off) and they had some tubes of paint on sale also. They just arrived yesterday and I'm so happy. I can't wait to play with my new brushes and paints! My craft budget is done for August but Sept will be here before I know it! Hugs!

Look at all these miniature goodies for the doll house. That looks like a cupcake? And you have a scarecrow just waiting for Fall. Yes, these lovelies do add up, as I've been buying a few things for the fairy garden I want to create. : ) Your doll house is a wonderful hobby that brings you great joy.

I can imagine how much fun you had. If you brings you joy, I say go for it. And with a sale, all the better. Happy Sunday!
