And Then The Snow Came...

(Bird feeder has a "new" roof!)

Hello Dear Blog Peeps!

Just to let you know, this post is photo heavy.
If you don't want to see photos of the latest snowstorm that dumped at least 18 inches of the white stuff in Western Massachusetts, then this post is not for you.
Hubs shoveled this morning while I uncovered the cars with my long handled snow scraper.
The air was fresh and clean and it wasn't even that cold outside.
This is one of our very last (ho hum) storms of the season.
Soon I'll be showing you photos of daffodillies, geraniums, lilacs, and tulips!  (Now THAT shows you that I am an optimist at heart!)
Here goes:

(Flower planters. See the beautiful flowers?)

(Use your imagination to see the spring flowers under all that fluff!)

(Front sidewalk, below, must be shoveled if we want to get mail!)

(Here's the hose to water the flowers!)

Whoa, the above bush is not quite ready to be adorned with colored plastic Easter eggs.

A man with a plow drove by, stopped, and offered to plow our driveway at no charge.  I said a quick prayer that the dear soul would have a good day today!
He gave me hope for humanity that there are really great people out there who are willing to do a favor for a total stranger at no charge!

                                                                   Porch lantern, above.
                                                               Frosting on the cake!
Above are my pink geraniums. Aren't they lovely, albeit a bit frosty! ha!
This is the porch "cold" seat!

Colorful silk flower cross on the front door, made by my sister, Barb. Nice to see some color amid all this white snow!

Gotta "unbury" the cars.  Where are they?

                                          Anybody in there?

Looking up into the gigantic evergreen tree in our front yard.
If I were rich, it would be decorated with lights at Christmas so it could be seen from blocks away!

To end on a hopeful, colorful note, here is a little potpourri arrangement hanging on the snowy front porch.
It is a harbinger of spring.
HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY TODAY!
(WITH NO SNOW!)

I hear you are getting another one - man you have a LOT of snow there. I worry about you and hubs shoveling. What a great guy that shoveled out your driveway - NICE. And lastly I love your splashes of color. Sandie

Really crazy how all of a sudden it just started dumping on everyone. But kinda amazing too. My Albany boy has spring break this next week so I'm hoping things will clear up for his visit to the city. Warm wishes and spring blessings, Tammy

Seeing all your snow pictures was a treat for me, Susan. How wonderful the snow looks around your neck of the woods. Look at that car buried in snow! And what lovely Purple flowers hanging on the front porch. It almost looks like periwinkle.
