Old-Fashioned Charm

Old-fashioned items tug at the heart.

They are comforting.

Many years ago, I purchased this old lampshade in a thrift shop.

Then came attaching it to a glass and brass base.

It has sat on a bedside table ever since.

With a fresh pink rose and baby's breath in a vase nearby, it's a charming sight.

It's a real heart-warmer.

DO YOU LIKE MODERN DECOR OR OLD-FASHIONED, AND WHY?

You mean you have a fresh flower there every night? That is awesome. Very pretty. I would have to say I don't have a lot of that period in my house tho. I do love it. sandie

I have a beautiful tiffany lamp with a many colored lamp shade but right now the lamp won't work. I think it needs a new plug and I have no one to fix it for me. I love those kind of lamps. Yours is gorgeous.

I love eclectic items - that one of a kind item that no one else has, but I also like Victorian tea cups and statues and candles. Your lamp is pretty, and I've always liked those fringe lamps. Your home is charming, Susan, and it says "welcome" to me. : )
